Change

I changed my blog yet again because I am easily bored of how it looks. And it was a little too dark and seeming as I cannot wait until spring and summer now I figured it was time.

January

 I don't believe that Christmas and New Years have been and gone already. I have been wonderfully busy for the past couple of weeks, enjoy the festive season and working. I got all my lovely presents for Christmas included some I didn't know I was getting.

One present which I was really thankful for was from my mum, she got me a clay jar, that you save money in and break up when it is time. Mine says 'Holiday fund' on it as I am going on holiday this year, I thought it was a really thoughtful present.

I loved getting my irregular choice shoes so much that I ordered another pair that I saw whilst I was shopping in Leeds. I spent nearly all the money I got over Christmas on the sales, so I can update my wardrobe and now I can't wait for summer to come as I hate these bit's in between Christmas and Summer.

2011 was a lovely year as I passed my A-Levels and applied to university which ended up me getting accepted into the one I really wanted.

I finally quit my old part-time job so I could get a much better one, which I did and I really hope  I am there for a long time.

I turned 19 this year and went to Leeds Festival which was great.

They are a couple of memories that I am happy about and I hope 2012 is much better than 2011.

I am really happy as literally just now I finished my book that I have been working on since I was thirteen, It is a very special thing to achieve and I am glad it has happened in the new year. As it adds light to my first days of January seeing as I have been bed bound with illness for the past few days.

However now I am feeling better I need to start revising from my exam next week and crack on with some art work.

My News Years resolutions are:

Loose some weight so I can look could in a swimming costume

Take more photographs

Christmas shopping

The one thing I dislike about Christmas...

Buying people gifts, because I can't pick good presents for toffee.

I could easily ask someone what I should get them but then that takes away the element of surprise.

All my friends and family are really hard to buy for, because they all have specific tastes. Normally parents are happy with some alcohol but you can buy that any time, but they always say not to get them anything and I get stuck then.

Hopefully my pay will arrive on Thursday and luckily I have only half a day on Thursday and it's my day off :)

Sooo... I am going to attempt to Christmas shop, but I doubt it will be successful, the only person I am sure about is my sister and she told me what she wanted.

Christmas drinks

The snow has almost washed away from the hills and we are now left with constant rain, this means it is too cold to snow and the fact it is cold means we all get ill. I always get a headache when i am cold and i found that hot drinks and a rest make them go away, sometimes aspirin and other medicine are useless.

Then somebody told me than lavender is good for headaches, and i love the smell of lavender so i thought i could by some lavender tea.

well then my newest phase is going to be herbal teas again, i have four teacups because i went through a minor stage of collecting them and drinking peppermint tea with honey.

Now i want lavender and cinnamon for headaches. 

So i googled Twinings and plan to buy some soon.

That is my first Christmas fetish.

I also started listening to Christmas songs on my ipod without feeling guilty.

my favourite song is The pogues a fairytale of New York.

Christmas tree

Today we finally put the Christmas tree up in our house and even though my mothers taste differs from mine, it looks nice. Then we listened to Christmas songs for a while and i bugged my mum about all the presents i wanted off Ebay :)

Now i have spent up and best be thinking about what to get my family for their presents.

I hate buying gifts for parents unless they tell me exactly what their wanting - which they never do - because i always get them something i think is really good and they dislike and yes it's the thought that counts but i want to get them something they are going to use and appreciate, rather than say they like it and then it never surfaces again.

I have decided what i am getting my self though, as i always get myself something, basically i buy something really expensive and it's okay because it is Christmas.

So depending on my wage this month i will buy myself some of the irregular choice shoes i posted on my wishlist.

Of course the £80 Ebay one and not the £109 retail price ones.

However i will wrap them and get them on Christmas day.

Another thing that is brightening up my countdown to Christmas is that it snowed for the first time last night!!!

The hilltops were all white but the streets and roads were slushy and icy because it also rained, meaning i wasn't fortunate to get a snow day but hopefully one will come eventually.

We had loads off last year.

Continuing with the good things...

I live opposite a field, but to the right of the field is a culdesack and all the houses on that street cover the outside of their houses in Christmas decorations and lights. Then a brass band will come and play as they turn them on. 

That happened yesterday and now i can see a merry Xmas sign from my room.

Christmas countdown

Normally in my house we put up the Christmas tree on the 1st December, but for some reason   there have been no decorations put up so far.

That is making me a little disappointed.

Another routine Christmas thing my family do are drink snowballs, well the rest of them do apart from me.

Because one Christmas i had a very strong drink and ended up throwing up all over the place, from then on i haven't touched the stuff.

The weather forecast is predicting snow next week :)

I hope so.

December

Yeyyyy my favourite time of the year :)

My December has started off very well as i got a new phone yesterday, it's the samsung galaxy S 2 and i really like it. One of the reasons is because i can upload pictures on to my blog now that i have actually take.

AND THEN... For christmas i am finally getting a camera.

Currently it is raining outside and my bedroom is freezing cold despite me being under the cover wearing several layers.

I hope the snow arrives soon, i hate it when it's Christmas and it doesn't snow.

Today i got given my next 12 shifts at my new, care job and i am extactic to have a well paid/good hours job, so i made a quick decision to quit my other job.

I cowardly text my boss because that's his choice of communication and i have not yet received a reply, so i am treading what is going to happen.

I also received some wonderful news that i have been given my first acceptance into Liverpool university, not my first choice and i still hope others contact me, but i am happy about that anyway :)

I am going to be doing a count down to Christmas starting now
